Telugu Desam Party leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu demanded that all the Ministers, who received notices by the Supreme Court should be dropped from the cabinet forthwith. Addressing a news conference, he said that the Minister for Roads and Buildings, Dharmana Prasada Rao was one among those served notices in connection with the issue of the Controversial GOs. Now that the Central Bureau of Investigation found prima facie evidence against him, it should arrest him immediately, he said.
He said that Dharmana was taking people for a ride with political drama over his resignation. If he was sincere to the core in his decision for quitting by owning moral responsibility, he should hand over the resignation to the Governor, instead of the Chief Minister, he pointed out. He said that besides Dharmana, the other ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah ,Kanna Lakshmaiah and Geeta Reddy should tender their resignations. He also pointed out that the State has been failing to stake claim over its due share of funds for Roads, Railways and Gas.
TDP leader said that all those who enjoyed the limelight in the regime of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, had no moral right to continue as ministers in the present cabinet. He further said that Dharmana’s mining lease over the Kannedara hills had triggered unrest among the tribal communities and he had encroached upon the municipal lands in Srikakulam and got road laid to his residence under the NREGS scheme he alleged.
