Telugu Desam Party  workers led by south Assembly segment party in-charge Flight Lt (R) Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, staged a mass protest at the busy Jagadamba Junction here on Friday demanding  health emergency   in   GVMC area in view of widespread viral fevers, including dengue, malaria and chikungunya.

Party leader Ganesh Kumar told reporters at Vizag that  the GVMC administration was in a deep sleep when the people particularly in slums were suffering from various types of fevers and demanded  officials to concentrate on sanitation and take action against the doctors.

He warned that the TDP will intensify agitation if the Corporation officials failed to take action with regard to overflowing drains, sanitation and drinking water supply. in the port city during monsoon season.
