The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has alleged that YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has been misleading the judiciary by submitting false information and filing petitions with wrong claims.
Addressing a press conference at NTR Bhavan on Thursday, TDP leader A. Revanth Reddy said that in one such recent misadventures, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy’s companies – Jagati Publications, Indira Television and Janani Infra were reprimanded by the High Court when they requested the court to allow unrestricted operation of 19 bank accounts frozen by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
The High Court had rapped the companies belonging to Jagan for concealing information that 19 other accounts were being operated by them, the TDP leader said.
Similarly, a petition filed by honorary president of YSR Congress Party Y.S. Vijayamma against TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu was quashed stating that personal petitions could not be treated as public interest litigations.
When Ms. Vijayamma moved the Supreme Court with the same petition, it upheld the High Court’s order and remarked that petitions filed by individuals with questionable track record could not be treated as public interest litigations, A petition filed by B. Bhushan at the behest of YSR Congress Party on the call data list of Joint Director of CBI was also set aside by High Court.
The TDP leader alleged that YSR Congress was trying to dismantle the four pillars of democracy for protecting its empire, which was built on illegal wealth, with the help of ‘murder politics’, corruption, misinformation campaign and murky deals.
