A delegation of TDP activists led by MLAs Prattipati Pulla Rao (Chilakaluripet), Dhulipala Narendra Kumar (Ponnur), G.V.S.R. Anjaneyulu (Vinukonda), N. Ananda Babu (Vemuru), and K. Sridhar (Pedakurapadu), submitted a memorandum to Collector S. Suresh Kumar seeking steps for solving the water crisis in agriculture sector and drinking water problem faced by people in most parts of the district.

Pulla Rao told the Collector that water level in Nagarjuna Sagar dam rose to more than 510 feet and hence water could be immediately released for drinking water purpose. The people of Vinukonda were particularly bearing the brunt of drinking water scarcity. Mr. Anjaneyulu said there was inordinate delay in making payments for houses constructed in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd phases of Indiramma scheme in and around Vinukonda.

Urgent remedial action should be taken to help the beneficiaries in coping with the financial implications of the delay in settling their dues. TDP State secretary Mannava Subba Rao, K. Nageswara Rao, N. Rama Rao and K. Hanumantha Rao were present.
