TDP Rajya Sabha MP and BC leader T Devender Goud today lampooned the centre and Kiran Govt for granting gas from K G basin to Maharashtra while the AP power projects were defunct without gas allocation.
Speaking to reporters at NTR Bhavan he said the power crisis in the state had worsened and the number of power cuts was indefinite and erratic affecting academic life, business activity and also industrial production.
He said although the congress had 33 MPs from AP all were divided and not pursuing state interests while with 12 MPs the West Bengal was shaking up the UPA-2 Government. 'It is a shame that not a single power project and gas allocation has come to AP in the last 8 years of Congress rule' he said.
Charging the former power minister Sushil Kumar Shinde of conspiracy against AP he said the minister had granted the power allocation to his home state in spite of fact that AP had more than four complete gas based power projects lying idle since almost five years.
