TDP stands on its word on Telangana, says MLA
MLA and TDP polit Bureau member K.E. Krishna Murthy has said the Telugu Desam would send its letter to the Centre on Telangana issue.
Talking to reporters at Kurnool on Sunday, Krishna Murthy said the MLAs of the party from Telangana were demanding the leadership to write to the Central government on creation of Telangana for some time. To avoid any fresh controversies, the party decided to stick to what it had said on the Telangana earlier. “In fact, we will be repeating the same letter to the Center without deviating from the stand of the past”, he said.
According to Krishna Murthy, the delay in postponing the party’s stand on various critical issues would harm interests of the party in view of the clouds of mid-term election hovering over the State.
He said the BC Declaration of the party would be implemented with all sincerity as the party would nominate candidates in the Assembly election from 100 places and would also put in extra efforts for their victory. A budget of Rs.10,000 crore would be released for welfare of the Backward Classes.
He accused the Congress government headed by N. Kiran Kumar Reddy of being the weakest government ever formed in the State. None of the promises made him to public were honoured such as one lakh jobs to youth, ration cards and non stop power supply.
He said the popularity of the YSRC party would diminish as fast as it did in the caseof “kolaveri” song. He said a great confusion prevailed in the State after the Gali Janardhan Reddy bail scam which had shaken the respectable institutions.
