TDP MLA of Undi V Sivarama Raju is launching padayatra in the town to highlight problems of farmers of Kolleru region on July 16, informed TDP town president B Venkatrao here on Sunday.

Speaking to newsmen he said that it was not proper for the government to issue GOs declaring fertile farmlands around Kolleru as wetlands preventing farmers from cultivation.

The MLA’s initiative would highlight mainly the farmer’s demand for reduction of sanctuary boundary from +5 contour to +3 contour, he added.

Former TDP MP Yerran Naidu, former Minister Kalidindi Ramachandra Rao, MLAs Chintamaneni Prabhakar, Jayamangala Venkata Ramana and large number of party activists will also take part in the programme, he said
