Kaikaluru MLA Jayamangala Venkata Ramana, a TDP leader, staged a novel protest against the power cuts being imposed in the State. He tonsured his head near the Sub Station here to register his protest.

The MLA said that there was no respite from power cuts though the monsoon has set in. The Government, instead, increased power cuts steeply. The farmers and common man were suffering equally due to power cuts. The Government should lift the power cuts immediately, he demanded. Mylavaram MLA and TDP district President Devineni Umamaheswara Rao was present.
