Telugu Desam activists stage dharnas all over state in support of partys campaign for farmers scarcity like seed, fertiliser and crop loans deficits due to utter failure of the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) staged a dharna championing the cause of farmers at Eluru Collectorate here on Monday. The activists demanded the government to settle the issues confronting the farming community. Problems with fake seeds and power cuts should be resolved at the earliest, the TDP leaders demanded.
The TDP activists in Kakinada staged protests here on Monday to express their solidarity with TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who took up Maha Dharna in Hyderabad, on farmers problems. They staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate and highlighted the farmers’ problems.
They recalled how the farmers in East Godavari district, who declared a crop holiday due to shortage of water, were left in the lurch as the government did not attend to their problems.
They alleged that the government became a mute spectator when the farmers were facing problems due to shortage of seeds and sky rocketing prices of fertilizers.
TDP district president Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa, MLAs Vegulla Jogeshwar Rao, Parvata Chittibabu, Chikkala Ramachandra Rao, Gollapally Surya Rao and others took part in the dharna
