Telugu Desam Party Kurnool district president Somishetty Venkateshwarlu alleged that sale of spurious seeds is rife in the district as government machinery failed to curb the illegal trade.
Speaking to the media persons he alleged that government was playing with the lives of the farmers as each farmer was incurring Rs 30,000 loss per acre.
Lamenting that farmers are incurring he ridiculed Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Delhi tour when farmers were facing difficulty to get seeds and fertilizers.
Demanding Kiran Kumar Reddy resignation TDP leader said that TDP would stage protest in the city in support of the farming community on June 30. Former Minister V.Rambhupal Chodhary and others were present.
