The Krishna district unit of Telugu Desam has alleged that the divided ruling Congress in Krishna district was neglecting the development of the Vijayawada city and Krishna district.
Addressing a news conference, the TD State secretary, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, alleged that the Congress leaders were divided into two groups (group of MP and the Minister) was creating confusion among officials leading to neglect of the developmental works.
He said that the MP Lagadapati was opposing construction of a flyover at Kanakadurga temple, while the Minister was in favour of the flyover. He wanted to know who was stopping the work, when the Minister was in its favour .The district administration was confused as whether it has to work according to the whims and fancies of the MP or of the directions of the Minister.
The TD leader accepted the Congress invitation for an open debate on the flyover issue and said that they would participate in the debate and expose the inefficiency of the Congress leaders.
The TD leader Buddha Venkanna, asked the Congress leaders to constitute an expert committee on the issue of fly over without further dragging it for political gains.
