 TDP President Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu today said that the CAG had reiterated all the charges TDP has been airing all these days since 2006 on the corruption in YSR regime.
Speaking to reporters at his residence on the CAG report revelations on the 'land leela' of the YSR regime between 2006-2010, the TDP president said YSR had violated all the regulations and laws of the land in favoring a selected few for land grants that too at throw away prices.
He said the YSR and his cabinet had even ignored the minimum prices suggested by the revenue authorities and the district collectors had doled out land to their benefactors at throw away and peanut prices. 'They promised the moon to people with regard to jobs and welfare and rehabilitation schemes while acquiring farmers lands for sake of SEZ's and in final count gave nothing to the displaced persons. 'Government acquired lands for 11 SEZ and promised five lakh jobs but gave employment to 10,000 persons'.
Sri Naidu said the YSR Government had thrown all regulations and norms to winds whenever it wanted to help friends and followers of the former CM and circumvented even legislation to give away lands at cheapest prices.
TDP president described the land mela of YSR as the countries biggest land scam in which the beneficiaries were permitted to mortagage the government land to procure huge loans for their business program. ' In almost every case the beneficiaries used the bank loans for their other projects and let the land idle in the state ' he said.
He said the YSR government had taken back the prime land from the ONGC and given thema way to private authorities. 'Now the centre is coercing the CBI not to name the YS Jagan in the land allocations scandal, he said.
Sri Naidu said Jagan had no need to go to officials for getting things done as officials themselves were coming to his door step.
