A TDP team led by former minister V. Rambhupal Choudary and Minority Cell leader J. Rustum undertook a public contact programme at Khanderi and Vasavi Women’s College area in the city
Choudary said Muslims were a hard working community which eked out a living by small jobs. The rise in the prices of essential commodities and hike in power tariff had hurt the low income minority community.

Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu said Dadi Veerabhadra Rao did not pick up his phone and tried to avoid him, of late.
Regretting the resignation of senior leader Dadi Veerabhadra Rao from the party and saying the latter has spoilt his political career in a jiffy out of frustration.TDP chief described Dadi step as a misadventure to stay in the limelight though it has taken three decades for him to shape his career.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Saturday demanded release of compensation within 15 days to farmers in Adilabad district who lost crop in the drought of 2011 kharif season.
The party threatened to launch an agitation if the administration continues to block release of the money.

TDP leaders have taken strong exception to the criticism levelled against Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu by Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, who quit the party and decided to sail with the YSRCP.
Former Minister Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, former MP Pappala Chalapathi Rao, Visakha Dairy chairman Adari Tulasi Rao, MLAs V. Ramakrishnababu and G. Ramu Naidu, former Minister Mani Kumari, and party Urban wing president V. Ganesh Kumar came down heavily on Mr. Veerabhadra Rao.

Mylavaram MLA and TDP district president Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has dashed off letters to Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and Minor Irrigation Minister T.G. Venkatesh on problems faced by the farmers and people in the district.
The MLA, in the letter addressed to the CM, said that the farmers cultivated black gram in 4.10 lakh acres in Rabi season in the district.The yield also doubled apart from acreage of cultivation. The Markfed, however, closed the purchasing centre.
