 TDP president Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu today said that Backward Classes were the back bone of the TDP and had extended full throated support to both NTR and himself.
Addressing a BC empowerment convention at the NTR bhavan the TDP president said that the BC were treated as second citizens in the Congress regime and were driven backward socially, economically and politically and that the rural artisans and handicrafts men have been ignored. |

 TDP president Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu has requested the speaker Nadendla Manohar to facilitate installation of a Bronze statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar in the state assembly premises to reassure the people of the MLAs resolve to rededicate themselves to achieve the goals and mission of the constitution makers. In a letter to the speaker presented by the party MLAs today in the assembly the TDP president said the TDP had recognized the contributions of Ambedkar and had strives to beget Bharata Ratna recognition to the popular leader posthumously. Ambedkar Bhavans were built in every district also during the TDP regime. |

 The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday commenced second round of simultaneous raids on liquor syndicates across the state.
The ACB officials raided offices and residences of liquor traders, marked excise department officials and others suspected to be a part of the powerful liquor syndicates which were diverting the revenue of the state to their personal coffers. |

 More than 15 years after NTR passed away the controversy over the demand to install the bust of the architect of Opposition unity in the country who left an indelible imprint on the Telugu consciousness , in the portals of Parliament has come to an end .
The honors is likely to fall on the shoulders of the TDP and its president Chandrababu Naidu to finally decide on the details of the statue project . In all likelihood, the statue will be made of bronze and almost six feet tall , same as the one in NTR bhavan at Hyderabad. |

 The CBI has been monitoring the online bank transactions of N Sunil Reddy, the latest accused in the Emaar scam. "Sunil Reddy transferred huge sums, running into crores of rupees, from one bank account and spread it over several other accounts on a routine and regular basis.
Sunil has six villas in his account under several benami's because Ranga Rao could not pay the percentage in time and gave villas in exchange, says CBI. |

 His job was to deliver bags from point to point without asking questions. In case the delivery was abruptly cancelled, he had to keep the bag safely with him until further orders.
We are talking of not gunny bags but money bags with currency and gold to the tune of Rs.10 to 50 crore. Some times he was given escorts of armed gun men to keep the money bags on road for days. 'he had driven to Mumbai and Chennai just to keep the IT and CBI guessing about its existence. |

 Anna Hazare on Thursday appealed to people in the election-bound states to vote for candidates who promised they would, if elected, support the enactment of a Lokayukta bill on the lines of the one passed by the Uttarakhand assembly.
In his election message posted by his team on YouTube, the activist said he had not been able to travel to the five poll-bound states due to health reasons but his team will talk to people in these states and convey his message. |
